We had a major network meltdown in the office yesterday as one of the servers went haywire, causing the network to stop functioning and all we can do is play solitaire in our respective computers. I was approached by the head technician and they were telling me that we are in need to get some new Cisco Equipment if we want everything to be fully functional as soon as possible. They told me that we don’t have any backup so we really have to get some new ones. They also said something about Cisco switches to make sure that the Ethernet would run smoothly. He gave me an estimation of how much they would be and it was really expensive. I asked him if we could get it something reconditioned and he said we could. There are also some hardware and equipment lease that he threw as an option so we could at least save money, until we get the funds for the new ones. I told him to look for the best ones and he immediately gave me a web site so I could check the information myself. I already made orders and said we should get the items later today. I just hope everything works out perfectly or we will have to do overtime work to finish everything.
