I just can’t understand why my boss keeps on nagging on me about the internet security that we have in the office and how things are going in our intranet, when the fact is, it’s not even my line of work! I am the head of the customer service department and yet, he kept on telling me to fix the stuff that the IT department is supposed to be fixing. He is also asking me about network attached storage and how it works. It’s a good thing I know something about these stuff because I was able to take a crash course on information technology and I was able to have some hands on training before becoming a customer service guy. I’m not that much familiar about the internet security, except of course putting some firewalls on the system and making sure that DNS is secured, but I do know more about Network attached storage which basically is a file-level computer data storage connected to a computer network providing data access to heterogeneous network clients. I also told him that it can enable simpler and lower cost systems such as load-balancing and fault-tolerant email and web server systems by providing storage services, which I think was a bad idea because he told me I should take care of it from now on… Sheesh!
